HOW TO MAKE TACO STUFFED AVOCADOS
AN EASY HEALTHY DINNER FOR ANY NIGHT OF THE WEEK !
Everyone loves a loaded taco, but a loaded avocado, stuffed with taco meat will make your night for sure! You can find it out-side in some restaurants, but with summer here and the warmer days I wanted to share with you this almost no-cook recipe, that is much healthier and safe, especially when prepared right in front of you, it’s not only fun but delicious too!
So today we’re making tangy taco stuffed with ground beef. It’s a great, quick, easy and healthy recipe to put together avocado and beef. You can make it any day of week for lunch or a light dinner, and believe me, you’ll ABSOLUTELY love it. Basically we’re going to put taco fillings inside of an avocado . Try it and you won’t regret it …
To make this healthy avocado recipe, you’ll need :
One pound of ground beef
Half of chopped onion
Quarter cup of chopped green onion
Quarter cup of shredded cheese
Two avocados
One packet of taco seasoning
Four Tbsp of salsa
Four Tbsp of sour cream
METHOD :
Step 1 :
It all start with adding onions and ground beef to a skillet over medium high heat on the stove, and break that up while it cooks. Once the beef is completely browned, we’ll go ahead and drain the grease and then come back to the heat.
At this point we can add our taco seasoning. In case you didn’t have it, replace this seasoning with chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper, …., and let that heat through.
Step 2 :
The most important part about avocado tacos is cutting the avocado the right way ! Cut lengthwise around the avocado, twist the two halves to separate them. Use a chef’s knife to firmly whack the seed, gently turn the knife and lift so the seed should come right out, stuck onto the knife .
Scoop out some of the avocado and set that aside , and we’ll make a little guacamole later .
Step 3 :
Now it’s just a matter of loading up your avocado with the toppings. Spoon a little of the taco meat inside and we’re gonna top it with some shredded cheese, a little bit of sour cream, and salsa.
For serve and garnish add green onions .
You can prep the taco filling ahead of time, and reheat it when you’re ready to enjoy it .
ENJOY YOUR MEAL!
