HOW TO MAKE GARLIC SHRIMP PASTA
When you’re in the mood for Italian dinner on a weeknight, this quick and simple shrimp pasta dish is a perfect choice. It was by combining some of my favorite pasta recipes that I’ve been making for years that I came up with this one… Garlic shrimp, veggies spaghetti, pasta with herbs, and parmesan cheese… And the whole is definitely bigger than the sum of its parts. I like Italian cuisine, particularly the saucy, cheesy mainstays such as lasagna, cannelloni, and manicotti. However, there are occasions when I don’t really want to eat anything so hefty, and such foods do take a little longer to prepare. As a result, this pasta dish is perfect. Adding a side salad accomplishes this delicious and well-balanced dish for my family. Oh, and garlic bread, it the best addition of course!
So, my cooking has changed over time. Early on, I prepared meals that were fast and simple to prepare and had a lot of pre-made ingredients and processed foods. You’re right! Those recipes call for canned mushroom or chicken soup? Don’t get me wrong, I still rely on convenience meals from time to time, but I make it a point to limit their consumption. Upon having children, I made the move to handmade fresh ingredients and also joined the low-fat bandwagon that we’ve all been riding for quite some time.
Recently, around 4 years ago, we made the decision to limit our intake of meat to the bare minimum. That lasted for around two years at a time. At this point in my journey, I’m able to cook from scratch, while avoiding processed foods and keeping meat and fats in moderation. The expression “everything in moderation” has been my credo lately. All of this is to indicate that the pasta in this recipe contains butter! Making it with just olive oil worked out Quite well; but, the butter really brings out the taste of everything. I hope you like it!
INGREDIENTS NEEDED FOR 3 TO 4 SERVINGS:
One pound.Of spaghetti noodles.
2 large spoons.Of salted butter.
