How To Make Strawberry Cheesecake Chimichangas?


These fried burritos filled with strawberry cheesecake are simple and quick to make when you need a dessert in a pinch. These perfect little sweet Mexican chimichangas are sure to be the new favorite for your family.
For parties, specifically family gatherings, they are perfect little individual treats and can be served warm or cold.



6 soft flour tortillas, I used the 8-inch tortillas.

8oz.Of cream cheese.

2 Tbsp.Of sour cream.

1 Tbsp.Of sugar.

1 t.Of vanilla extract.

3/4 C.Of sliced strawberries.

Vegetable oil for frying


Step 1:

I beat the cream cheese with the sour cream, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and vanilla extract, and I added in 3/4 cup of fresh strawberries sliced.

Step 2:

Then, uniformly I split the mixture into 6 tortillas and slather the filling in the lower third of each tortilla, I folded each tortilla’s two sides toward the middle and then I rolled up the tortilla like a burrito, and I secured them with a toothpick.

Step 3:

I lined a large plate with paper towels, and I set it aside.

Step 4:

And I poured vegetable oil for frying in a saucepan about 5 inches deep and heat it over medium-high heat until it reaches 360 degrees F.

Step 5:

I fried the chimichangas for about 3to 4 minutes for the first side, then I flipped them to brown on the other side.

Step 6:

I switch the chimichangas to the paper towel on a plate to rinse for a few minutes until finished, then I rolled them in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.

Step 7:

To prepare a sugar frosting, I mixed 1/3 cup of granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon powder.
