VANILLA BUTTERMILK POUND CAKE

 

HOW TO MAKE VANILLA BUTTERMILK POUND CAKE?

 

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup buttermilk.

1 cup granulated sugar.

2 cups softened butter + 2 tbsp for the pan.

3 eggs.

3 cups all-purpose flour + 1 tbsp for the pan

2 tsp baking powder.

1 tsp pure vanilla extract.

A pinch of salt.

To Make The Cream Cheese Glaze You’ll Need:

1 PKG cream cheese.

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar.

2 tsp vanilla extract.

4 tbsp evaporated milk.

HOW TO MAKE IT?

STEP 1:

Preheat your oven to 350℉.

STEP 2:

Using a stand mixer, mix butter and sugar until creamy and light.

STEP 3:

Add eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla extract, mix on low for 6 minutes.

STEP 4:

In a bowl, whisk dry ingredients and set aside.

STEP 5:

Start slowly pouring dry ingredients in the bowl of the stand mixer and mix for 6 to 7 more minutes.

STEP 6:

Butter and flour a wolf pan, then pour the batter into the pan and bake for 1 hour.

STEP 7:

Meanwhile, mix vanilla, evaporated milk, and cream cheese. And slowly add powdered milk, mix continuously until the mixture is creamy.

STEP 8:

Remove the cake from the oven, and carefully spread the Glaze over the cake, and let it cool for 30 minutes to 1 hour before serving.
